A Birthday Giveaway
Today is my birthday.
I'm very fortunate to have as many friends and loved ones as I do to celebrate with and I've received many well wishes and gifts, for which I am truly grateful.
However, I want to take this opportunity to make this day about more than just me. I also want it to be about you.
A big part of why I wrote Crazy Enough To Try was to share the knowledge of passionate people with others. I wanted to show that passion isn't just some esoteric thing that exists only in a vacuum or is only for "creatives", but rather that it can be a part of everyone's day-to-day activities. For writers and mechanics, engineers and teachers, caretakers and entrepreneurs, passion is a driving force behind satisfaction and success and can be incorporated into every profession, every hobby, and every life.
I want to keep sharing that message, so below in the comments I want you to share your thoughts on passion.
How have you incorporated your passions into your life?
You have great stories and big or small, they deserve to be heard.
At the end of the day, I will randomly choose 3 people, and will send them each a signed copy of Crazy Enough To Try. Already own a copy? Give one to a friend for their birthday.
Anyone in the continental U.S. is eligible to participate (sorry Kimanzi, no Hawaii).
I'm looking forward to reading all of your comments and sharing this day with you all.
