My Story

I began Crazy Enough To Try based on the philosophy that most people would rather enjoy life than just go through day to day motions. We all know what it takes to do enough to survive, make enough money to live off of, and not get into too much trouble. But that's just the basics. What most of us want is to include something that we love doing, that's more than just the day-to-day minutia.

We're looking to include, in some way, something that we're passionate about.

I don't have all the answers, but I do have stories of how everyday people have incorporated their passions in their lives.

I am a consultant, a teacher, an aspiring inventor, a son, a brother (and now uncle!), and many other things. I was born and raised on Long Island, New York. I was captivated by science and technology at a young age, relying on chemistry sets, robots, and science fiction books to keep me busy.

I attended MIT for my undergraduate degree, where after bouncing around majors, I settled on Materials Science and Engineering. I found Materials Science to be fascinating and thought I would continue on and so I attended Columbia University and completed a master's degree.

While the formal education of MIT and Columbia was amazing, it was the informal relationships that stuck with me the most. It was the personal growth that occurred during those years that had the greatest impact and will remain with me for the rest of my life. I realized that there wasn't just a single path forward and a career could consist of any number of options.

I am on a quest to find what pushes and pulls me, what drives me to live a life of more than just surviving. I've realized what I'm passionate about, taking my ideas from thoughts and putting them into action, and I want to help others live a life that is filled with passion as well.

Maybe you'll find passion in your career, or perhaps in your hobbies, or maybe even in your personal relationships. I believe that you don't have to be a painter or a musician or a writer to fill your life with passion. You just have to love and put everything that is you into what you do.
